Promoting Climate-Resilient Farming through Black Seeding
Black Seeding is an agroecological practice promoted by Caritas Bangladesh to support climate-resilient and organic farming. The method emphasizes using local seed varieties, organic compost (such as vermicompost), and natural soil enhancers to restore soil fertility and ensure sustainable crop growth. It helps farmers adapt to drought, salinity, and unpredictable weather while improving food security and livelihoods in climate-vulnerable regions of Bangladesh.
